What “infrastructure fee” means
The MonthFund infrastructure fee (also called a platform fee on personal accounts) is MonthFund's charge for running calendar fundraising software: campaign pages, participant tools, checkout, and reporting. It is shown as a line item at checkout.
It is not the same as:
- Stripe card processing — charged by Stripe on your connected account (typically ~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, or ~2.2% + $0.30 for many nonprofits). Always separate from MonthFund's infrastructure fee.
- Tip-to-software models — where platforms ask donors for optional tips to fund the product, often with unclear defaults. MonthFund instead shows a transparent infrastructure fee by plan; donors can cover it in one click so the fundraiser receives the intended gift.
On Network, the subscription covers MonthFund's infrastructure cost (0% infrastructure fee). Stripe processing still applies.

When you need more capacity or a lower fee, upgrade to Professional ($49/mo, 2% fee) or Network ($199/mo, 0% infrastructure fee). Upgrades unlock features such as unlimited participants/campaigns (Professional+) and unlimited admins / SLA / custom onboarding (Network). No long-term contract; cancel or downgrade from your account.
Annual billing is two months free versus paying monthly all year. Professional is $49/mo billed monthly or $490/yr (about $41/mo). Network is $199/mo billed monthly or $1,990/yr (about $166/mo). On annual plans you are charged once per year and can cancel before renewal; access continues through the paid period. Community remains $0.
On Professional and Network, you can keep unlimited campaigns live at the same time. Community includes two active campaigns at a time, so you can overlap a wrap-up month with your next launch. Each campaign has its own calendar, participants, and reporting.
Unlimited campaigns let you run a Multi-Calendar Stack: simultaneous, targeted calendars for different departments, sports teams, or chapters instead of one general fund. That is how organizations scale past a single-campaign baseline.
There is no setup fee on Community or Professional. Network includes a structured onboarding session at no additional cost. There are no hidden MonthFund setup fees at any tier. Stripe may have its own connected-account requirements.
There is no formal nonprofit pricing program today; contact MonthFund directly. Qualifying organizations in an early cohort may be able to work something out case by case. Separately, many nonprofits may qualify for lower Stripe rates (often cited as ~2.2% + $0.30) — that is Stripe's pricing, not a MonthFund plan discount.
The infrastructure fee is MonthFund's platform charge (3% / 2% / 0% by organization plan, or 5% on Personal). Stripe processing is the card network / Stripe fee on your connected account and is always separate. Covering the infrastructure fee at checkout does not remove Stripe processing.
Choose Personal if you are one person with a solo calendar and no team roster: $0/mo, 5% platform fee. Choose Community (or higher) if you need org admins, participant invites, and multiple campaigns: Community is $0/mo with 3% infrastructure fee and limits (50 participants, 2 admins, 2 active campaigns).
